The Deal

Posted on July 5, 2011

Men aren’t supposed to have to reject women.  That’s the deal.  Men go out on a limb and deal with rejection, and they don’t have to let anyone down easily.  Women hold their tongues and hope for men to make the move, rebuffing the ones they don’t like (nicely, one hopes), and they never have to face outright rejection.  If a woman bucks tradition and becomes the aggressor, she is going to get hurt, because she is not accustomed to rejection, and she will receive it from men who are not skilled at it.
